Unity Psychiatric Care Names Fredericka Ford Administrator of Clarksville Facility

Unity Psychiatric Care, a division of Franklin, Tennessee-based American Health Partners, has named Fredericka Ford administrator of its Clarksville, Tennessee location.

Ford oversees operations for the psychiatric hospital, which provides compassionate and stabilizing care for seniors dealing with an acute mental health crisis, as well as behavioral complications from dementia. Treatment services include a comprehensive health and psychiatric evaluation, medication assessment, nutrition evaluation, pain assessment, therapeutic activities and educational support.

Ford joins Unity Psychiatric Care from Ethegrity Healthcare Consulting where she was chief executive officer. Her responsibilities included leading overall operations and developing consulting services for multi-specialty facilities throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean. Ford has also served as chief executive officer and consultant for Mount St. John’s Medical Center in Antigua, a private-public community hospital, where she provided oversight on financial, operational, clinical, and patient and staff satisfaction and outcomes.

With more than 18 years of healthcare and hospital experience, Ford has also served as chief executive officer for American Addiction Centers’ Desert Hope Treatment Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, various C-suite and corporate division positions with Universal Health Services, Acadia Healthcare, and was senior vice president and chief operating officer for Cal Psychiatric Services Inc. in Walnut Creek, California. An undergraduate of Fisk University, Ford earned a Master of Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Arts in Executive Business Management with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Seton Hall University. Ford is a member of American College of Healthcare Executives and National Association of Health Services Executives. In her spare time, she enjoys water sports and is a sailing enthusiast.
