Unity Psychiatric Care, a division of American Health Partners of Franklin, Tennessee, announced today that Kyle Smith, MSW, has joined the organization as the Administrator for its psychiatric care hospitals in Huntsville and Bridgeport, Alabama.
Smith brings nearly a decade of leadership experience in mental health care with a strong track record of advancing quality patient care, regulatory compliance, financial stability, and staff development. He previously served as CEO and Administrator for The Sanctuary at the Woodlands Hospital in Cullman, AL, and as Director of The Mental Health Crisis Unit and Senior Care Center for the North Alabama Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, AL. Kyle also served previously as the Administrator for the Unity Psychiatric Care Huntsville location from 2021 to 2023.

In his role, Smith will oversee all operational aspects of both hospitals, including clinical quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and workforce leadership. Kyle Smith is a graduate of Boston College and holds a master’s degree in social work with concentrations in Mental Health, Social Innovation, and Leadership. In addition to his healthcare leadership experience, he has worked as a college professor. Outside of work, Smith enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. Some of his favorite places he has visited were Duluth, MN on a Northern Lights/ Great Lakes expedition and studying abroad in Tanzania.
