Each of them has been on the leading edge of improving healthcare delivery and access, whether by starting new companies, helping to grow legacy companies or forging strategic partnerships among providers. Chief Executive Officer Michael Bailey has been a healthcare executive for more than 30 years. He was a founder of Windsor Health Group, an early innovator of Medicare Advantage plans that grew to be a national leader in the industry. He was also co-founder of MedSolutions, Inc. (now Evicore) and National Imaging Affiliates and president of VHP Community Care for Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Chief Operating Officer Robin Bradley has 20 years’ experience managing health plans. She was VP of administration for Unity Physician Partners, as well as a VP of Windsor Health Group and Vanderbilt Health Plans. She also has held consultant, management and operational roles in healthcare organizations, including MedPartners, Inc. and Theraphysics, Inc.
Chief Financial Officer Jeff Bogle has nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare start-ups and financial management. He was founder and CEO of Ascira Partners and a founder and executive vice president of Surgis. Both companies operated ambulatory surgery centers. He also served as CFO of the Ambulatory Surgical Center Division of Symbion.
Chief Compliance & Ethics OfficerKelly Thomas has more than 15 years’ experience as a health law attorney. She’s held her current role since March 2018 and joined the company as general counsel in 2014. Before joining American Health Partners, she worked for two Nashville law firms and represented nursing homes with professional liability and medical malpractice cases.
Dr. Ralf C. Habermann, MD
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ralf Habermann has more than 20 years’ experience in hospitals, nursing homes, hospice and managed care. He was the chief medical officer for Windsor Medicare Advantage and has been a medical director for nursing homes and a Vanderbilt clinician. He is a past president of the Tennessee Association of Long Term Care Physicians.
Chief Marketing Officer Cherryl Carlson has been a leader in healthcare marketing and communications for 30 years. She served as SVP/chief marketing officer for HCA’s population health management subsidiary, H2U. She started her career at IBM and held senior leadership roles in behavioral health, specialty pharmacy, and physician practice management sectors.
Chief Legal Officer Kevin Norwood has nearly 40 years’ experience as an attorney in corporate and health law. He was a founder of Cumberland Law Group and a partner with Waller Lansden, both in Nashville, Tennessee. His practice has focused on health care transactions, corporate finance, and regulatory matters.
Chief Information Officer Barry Shermer has more than 20 years’ experience developing and managing information technology in healthcare. He has served as CIO of Unity Physician Partners and was the IT director for Windsor Health Plan, where he oversaw growth of the information infrastructure from start-up to maturity.
Senior Vice President of Human Resources Jonathan Cooper has been an HR executive for more than 25 years. He was formerly the VP of HR for Loretto, a nonprofit post-acute healthcare system and has held leadership roles Medical Edge Healthcare Group/PhyServe Physician Services, Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD in Houston.
Vice President of Corporate Development Henry (Hank) Watson has been a healthcare executive for more than 10 years. He has served as vice president at EDG Partners, a healthcare-focused private equity firm, worked in healthcare policy with The Lewin Group, and was chief operating officer for a risk adjustment vendor for Medicare Advantage plans.
