Unity Psychiatric Care, a division of American Health Partners of Franklin, Tennessee, announced today that Zachary Raulston, BSN, RN, has joined the organization as the Administrator for the psychiatric care hospital in Bridgeport, Alabama.
Raulston brings clinical experience in mental health care with a strong track record of operations management, quality improvement, risk management, regulatory compliance, and nursing operations. Before stepping into the role as administrator, Zachary previously held positions with Unity Psychiatric Care as Director of Risk Management and Quality Improvement as well as Registered Nurse/Charge Nurse. Before joining Unity Psychiatric Care, he worked at Cumberland Health and Rehab and Dialysis Clinic, Inc as a Registered Nurse.
“We are fortunate to be able to have Zachary step into this Administrator role at Unity Psychiatric Care,” said Lisa Hogan, VP of Operations of Unity Psychiatric Care. “He brings an exceptional blend of leadership and compassion to his role. His deep understanding of mental health care, combined with his well-versed knowledge and clinical excellence, ensures that every patient receives not only high-quality treatment but also genuine care and respect.”
In his role, Raulston will oversee all operational aspects of the Bridgeport hospital, including clinical quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and staff leadership. His focus is on creating safe, efficient, and compassionate environments where patients receive the support they need and care teams are empowered to deliver exceptional outcomes.
“As Administrator, I really want to build strong relationships with people in our community and the surrounding communities and spread the word that we are here to help anyone who may be struggling with their mental health,” said Raulston. “Being part of this community myself, it means a lot to me to be able to give back and help people who need it. I want to continue growing our facility, supporting my team, and making sure people near and far know we’re here and that they have somewhere to turn when they need help.”
Zachary Raulston received his Associates degree of Applied Science in Nursing (ASN) and his Licensed Practical Nurse Certificate (LPN) at Northeast Alabama Community College. He then went on to get his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at the Western Governors University, where he is currently also currently working towards a Masters degree in Business Administration – Healthcare Administration (MBA-HA) and is expected to graduate in January of 2027.
Raulston says, “I stay pretty busy between work, my daughters, and finishing my Master’s degree in Business Administration and Healthcare Administration, but I honestly don’t know what I would do with myself if I wasn’t busy!”
He has two daughters, 7 and 3 years old, that are a huge part of his life. Outside of work, Zach also enjoys the great outdoors, traveling and adventure sports, including: kayaking, skydiving bungie jumping and off-roading.
